What Can I Expect During my First Appointment?
Visiting a Board Certified Veterinary Dermatologist is quite different from seeing your general practitioner. While your GP addresses a wide range of health issues your pet may encounter throughout their life, a dermatologist specializes in skin, ears, allergies, and autoimmune diseases. Think of your dermatologist as your top level of care. Our staff also undergoes extensive dermatological training.
Before your appointment, our team reviews and compiles your pet’s medical records, history forms, and previous test results to create a comprehensive history. This information is reviewed by our dermatologist before you arrive. During your visit, our dermatologist will discuss the history with you, perform a skin scraping, conduct cytology, and complete a thorough examination. The initial consultation costs $355. Afterward, the dermatologist will develop a treatment plan tailored to your pet’s needs.
We recognize that financial situations vary. We will collaborate with you to find the best and most cost-effective approach for your pet’s care. We accept CareCredit and Wells Fargo for medical lines of credit, and we are happy to work with your insurance company.
